New York, NY - Alabama and Florida State remained the top two teams in the latest Associated Press college football poll, but Baylor and Ohio State swapped places as the four are still the lone remaining unbeatens in the power conferences. The Crimson Tide received 55 first-place votes and a total of 1,495 points from a nationwide media panel. Florida State, after its second straight 59-3 victory in as many weeks, kept the second spot and picked up two additional first-place votes. The Seminoles, who will close the regular season with a visit from Idaho and a trip to Florida, earned five No. 1 tallies and 1,445 total points. Baylor moved up one spot to third, while Ohio State dipped one place to fourth. Both had easy victories on Saturday, as the Bears continued to pile up the points in a 63-34 victory over Texas Tech and the Buckeyes pummeled Illinois, 60-35. Oregon inched up one spot to fifth and again controls its own destiny for a berth in the Pac-12 title game after Stanfords loss to USC on Saturday. The Ducks are followed by Auburn, Clemson, Missouri, Texas A&M and Stanford. The Cardinal couldnt build off the victory against Oregon and dropped a 20-17 decision at Southern California, tumbling five spots from No. 5. The second 10 consists of Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Michigan State, UCLA, Fresno State, Wisconsin, UCF, LSU, Arizona State and Northern Illinois. Fresno State and Northern Illinois are also undefeated. UCF dropped two spots from 15th after a narrow escape at Temple on Saturday. Louisville, Oklahoma, USC, Ole Miss and Duke are the last five teams ranked. USC, Ole Miss and Duke are this weeks newcomers. The resurgent Trojans, under interim coach Ed Orgeron, havent been ranked since the first poll of the regular season, while the Rebels were ranked for four weeks in September. Duke, meanwhile, is ranked for the first time since the final poll of the 1994 season. The Blue Devils, after a 48-30 win over then-No. 24 Miami-Florida on Saturday, are in control of their own destiny in the ACC Coastal Division. Miami, ranked No. 7 just three weeks ago, fell out of the poll after its third straight loss. Texas and Georgia also dropped out. The Longhorns were 23rd and fell to Oklahoma State, while the Bulldogs were No. 25 and lost a heartbreaker at Auburn on a 73-yard deflected touchdown pass on 4th-and-18 in the final minute.
